Himes Gets Warm Welcome

Jim Himes received a warm welcome in Washington, D.C. today from fellow members of the Connecticut delegation. Said Himes:

“It is heart-warming to be welcomed with open arms by such talented and effective veteran Members of Congress. And it was a good feeling when we had to ask for a larger table at the House dining room for our first delegation breakfast meeting. As a united House team and working together with our Senators, I believe we’ll serve the interests of the people of Connecticut well.”

This is the first time since the 1960s that the entire delegation has belonged to a single party.

    Belonged to a single party?

Since when is Traitor Joe a Democrat?

(i.e. Which one of us is not like the others, not like the others… Oh yeah, the ass-wipe that had the self-aggrandizing need to speak at the GOP convention.)

PS– if Shays had stooped to support Obama, to have rejected Palin, and to have spoken at the Dem convention in Denver, he’d be heading into his 11th term.

  2. You simply cannot be content. Why do you insist on an ideological purge of your party when you should be basking in your electoral victory?

  3. Okay, comment preview plugin = broken. Rats. …Anyone going to miss it if it goes? 🙂

He’s technically registered as a Democrat. 🙂 Plus, he still caucuses with them. The statement probably ought to get an asterisk, however.

  5. Why is everything centered?

  6. Also, that state budget deficit is going to be huge!

Yeah … usually takes me 2 or 3 times to get a post right (and sometimes that’s not enough)

  8. Oops. Unclosed italics

  9. The House members all belong to the same party. Joe Lieberman purged HIMSELF from the Democratic party when he ran for Senate on the Egomaniacs for Lieberman line in 2006.

It seems to me that the attempted purging was the other way around, no? In any event, it seems like both purgings were unsuccessful, as Joe is now a registered Democrat caucusing with Democrats and chairing a committee, a role given only to… Democrats.

  11. Okay, problem fixed. A center tag was left open on one of the sidebar boxes.
