Senate Republicans Create Deficit Clock

And here it is.

CT State Budget Deficit

The calculation is based on OFA estimates this fiscal year. They intend to display the clock outside their LOB office this year, and move it to the Capitol on session days.

And yes, it’s embeddable. Neat!

  1. Are you trying to merge deficit with defecate?

    🙂

  2. I think this pretty clever. The R’s can’t run any part of the show, but it will put pressure on the D’s. I think you’ll see more of this clock as the session goes on.

  3. Are you trying to merge deficit with defecate?

I thought the same thing. S&*$, now I’m thinking like a liberal.

  4. Are you trying to merge deficit with defecate?

Argh! I can NEVER spell that word right!

In my defense, I spell lots of other words right.

  5. Do you know if they had that made in house or if they contracted out? Curious what sort of web capabilities they have over there. I’ve been impressed with what the House Republicans have been doing with their blog: http://cthouserules.com/ but hadn’t seen as much from the Senate side.

Wow. The fighting-44 (or however many they are now) led by their wanna-be comedian, Catskill’s Larry have hit a new low in gimmickry. These are the state “leaders” who frequently adorn the august Legislative Office Building with immature banners that do little to foster real discussion about issues important to Connecticut citizens.

If only they could use their energy, creativity and taxpayers dollars to make Connecticut a better place to live … or maybe help their party’s standard-bearer, Governor Rell, fix the problem visionless leadership in the Governor’s office has caused.

Thanks for playing but the House Republicans had nothing to do with this. Try to pay attention next time.

Wow. You’re right. That makes it even more shocking. I expected such immaturity from the House, but thought more highly of the Senate R’s. This really is a new depth.

Watching the state go bankrupt is “immature”??

    Go figure.
