Williams Probably Out for 2010

I think we knew this already, or at least he indicated as much on the night of the governor’s speech, but Don Williams is leaning towards staying out of the gubernatorial race. He says he likely won’t make a decision for another six months, by which point it will be far too late to get into the race anyway.

So there you go!

  2. Ray Hackett mentioned a while ago that Ned Lamont was considering the Governor’s race. Does anyone know if he still has it on his mind? Now that Williams is effectively out, there aren’t any hardcore progressive Democrats in the race. This may be Lamont’s last best shot at statewide office.

    Honestly, what odds would a bookie put on that guy?

    With Storrs in his district he’s pretty safe – otherwise how would such a total jerk have even survived in the Senate this long?
