Himes leads this quarter's congressional fundraising

CT-4 Freshman Congressman Jim Himes has beat out all of his longer serving colleagues in the CT Congressional delegation in this quarter’s fundraising, having raised an impressive $422,138. Of that, $230,154 came from individuals and $191,839 from PACs. Clearly Himes is out to prove he’s not going be as easy to pick off in 2010 as some had hoped.

Over CT-2, Joe Courtney raised $145,813, $86,523 from individuals and $59,250 from PACs. Challenger Matthew Daly didn’t make it out of the starting gate for this quarter, but he declared late in the game, so we’ll see what happens next quarter.

In CT-1, Rep. John Larson raised $243,414, of which $123, 514 came from individuals and $119,900 from PACs.

In CT-3, Rep. Rosa DeLauro raised $119, 934, with $42,934 coming from individuals and $77,000 from PACs.

Finally, as reported in an earlier post, Chris Murphy isn’t taking anything for granted for his re-election bid in CT-5, raising $393,128, of which an impressive $306,597 came from individuals and $86,500 from PACs.

  1. One thing this post didn’t look at is the cash on hand amounts.. Check out Courtney’s war chest- he’s got almost $720,000 in the bank! Easily more than double the cash on hand of the other members from the state.
