Elections Today

Several towns and villages/boroughs of towns are holding local elections today!

As is always the case in May, Naugatuck is the biggest race. First-term Mayor Mike Bronko (R) takes on challenger Bob Mezzo (see here for a report from the Republican-American about a recent mayoral debate). Making town government more effective and efficient is a major theme. Absent this year is a major third-party candidate who ran in 2005 and 2007.

Woodbridge is another relatively large town holding elections today. You can read what Woodbridge resident Aldon Hynes has to say about that election over at his blog.

Other towns holding elections today: Bolton, Andover, Union and Bethany.

Boroughs and subdivisions holding elections today: Litchfield, Newtown borough, Stonington borough, Bantam (Litchfield), Danielson (Killingly), Fenwick (Old Saybrook), Jewett City (Griswold), Woodmont (Milford) and the Groton City.
