Quote of the Day

“The issues that dogged Republicans in 2006 and 2008 [in Connecticut] …are not on the front burner the way they were before.”

–5th district congressional candidate Justin Bernier, expressing hope that his party can make gains in the northeast in 2010. CQ Politics also spoke with State Sen. John McKinney, who said he’d decide about the 4th district race in June.

Funny – that’s exactly what we thought here in Southington when the little weasel ran for state rep.

Don’t hold your breath Bruce – this Bernier fellow is alive, awake and has that “go there – get that” laser-like focus we only see in some military guys.
    (Usually special ops)

Justin Bernier isn’t David Cappiello; Bernier has his own set; *and* has integrity.
You can’t help but to pick it up as soon as you chat with him.

  4. Since when did “alive” and “awake” become upsides to a candidate?

    1. GC, if that’s honestly the quote of the day, what is this world coming to?

    2. Can we please move past this race and talk about something that at least might, might!, be competitive…like the 4th.

    ACR…care to make a wager on it..like a lunch ?

GC…I agree with JBond….the 4th will probably be the most competitive race….perhaps we would benefit from a joint posting of a knowledgable D and R…analyzing the race in various aspects, to get us started.

Just pointing it out as our last candidate wasn’t either one.
