Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz had commissioned the independent review by University of Connecticut computer science experts. She says the small number of differences found between machine and hand counts were from human error.
The paper shredders that slurp the new ballots actually work. Since we used them for municipal elections, legislative elections, and a Presidential election, this seems like good news.
The real question here is this: If the study had come back with different results, what would we have done?
