Dodd Ad (Video)

Heath posted about this earlier, but the video for Dodd’s first ad is up. The ad is called “Years.”

  1. Good, effective ad. It goes a long way toward mitigating some of the negatives Dodd has amassed recently.

Of course, I wouldn’t be surprised if Q-poll decides to not issue another poll on CT Senate for about six months.

  2. Poke fun at the Quinnipiac Poll all you like; but let’s go back – in 1988 they were the ONLY poll that showed Lieberman even within striking distance of Weicker.

  3. A “shout-out”? very presidential.

After the bill signing Obama wished Dodd well, and expressed hope that he might “get some stankie on his hang-down.”

Which, if true, is quite frankly a matter of historical interest only.

FYI, I found no mention of that fact anywhere on their website. Would you cite it for me?

  5. This legislation will hopefully go some distance in mitigating the massive market meltdown precipitated by another Dodd dandy the WaPo wrote about today. Check this one out:

Apparently the only reason we can even stage these bailouts are because of a 1991 Federal Reserve rule change that Dodd authored. These bankers were obviously far more willing to blow other people’s money and ruin other people’s lives because they knew Uncle Sam wouldn’t let them down.

    Thanks again, Senator!

    ACR–

From conversations I’ve had with Polling Institute employees, Doug Schwartz, and Doug Schwartz alone, decides what gets polled and when.

How old was Doug in 1988. Was he even graduated from college?

My point is that the people who built the Q-Poll’s reputation, might not be the same guy who destroys it.

Clearly Connecticut deserves a monthly tracking poll. Plus every poll should disclose its sampling. How many self-identified Republicans, and how many Democrats?

If we can’t count on Doug, who can we count on?!???
