In the wake of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford’s “hike on the Appalachian Trail”, the Associated Press decided to check in on other Governors to see where they were.
Most answers were quite boring, including that of our Governor, Jodi Rell:
CONNECTICUT: Gov. M. Jodi Rell was in her Capitol office, watching a Senate budget debate on TV. Her schedule was released, with no private appointments listed.
Nothing we couldn’t have gotten from the Governor’s Twitter feed.
Rell has been criticized in the past for keeping a very soft schedule, so it was interesting to find many Governors doing pretty much the same thing.
The tie for “best response” came from Texas Governor Rick Perry and Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman, who both marched themselves into the AP offices within an hour of receiving the inquiry.
